Have any questions?
What qualifications do you have?
I have some veterinary experience and have certificates such as Online Veterinary Support Assistant Certificate, and Online Canine DNA Evidence Collection Certificate.
What is daycare?
Daycare, along with overnights, are at your house. I will come and spend an hour and a half or more with your pet which will include a short walk. I'm with them all the time unless I have to run an errand or have a doctor's appointment.
Will my pet be around other pets?
If your dog gets along with other animals, great! The more the merrier. But, if your dog prefers to be alone, that's fine too, it’s all up to you and your pet’s needs.
Are you bonded and insured, and have an agreement contact?
I am currently in the process of getting bonded and insured, and yes I get clients to sign an agreement contract.
How long have you been in business?
I recently went public with my services in September, but I have looked after family, and family friends’ pets for many years.
How will I know that you have my dog?
I always send updates, along with pictures and videos, to the owners so that they are reassured that their pet is in great hands and having fun.
Is there an extra charge for pick up or drop off?
Yes, if you live farther than 6km from my home, there will be a $5.00 charge. 7 - 15 km is a $10.00 charge. Special circumstances may apply.
Will my dog be off leash when you take them for a walk?
The first time walking your dog, I keep them on the leash until the dog and I are both familiar with each other. I do some recall exercises and make sure they know I am the leader. I try to let the dogs get as much freedom and exercise as they can, so I usually have my customer’s dogs off leash. If you aren't comfortable having your dog off leash, be assured that I will follow your wishes.
Do you have references?
Yes, I can give you contact information for my past or current clients.
Do you have any pets, and will they interfere with my pet at your place?
Yes, I have two dogs. Charlie is a 1 year old Mini Australian Shepherd who loves to play and fetch. I also have another dog, named Sasha, who is 2, but she will most likely be huddled in a corner somewhere as she's only recently been rescued and is scared of new things. It would be great if all of the dogs could interact, but if it's not in your dog’s or your best interest, then my dogs can be separated from yours.
